Training for can be a very rewarding and exciting undertaking. The key to helping these dogs learn is to remain calm and take your time. Every dog has their own level of learning and these animals will surprise you at how quickly they can pick up new challenges.

This dog always assume that everyone is their friend and will go out of their way to keep you happy. Use this to your advantage and give them simple tasks to begin with to help maintain their confidence. Showing affection and admiration at a job well done will go a long way.
One thing to keep in mind is that since they are so friendly and outgoing it can be detrimental to harshly criticize them when they are wrong. This will undo substantial amounts of progress that you might have made. This is no need to hit them, either. They will react negatively towards this behavior and your teachings will be lost. When your dog disobeys the best way to correct them is to look them directly in the eye and say “no” in a firm, but normal voice. This will relay a much calmer approach that being angry.
Owners will tell you that one of the best forms of training dogs is to make sure they are around other animals and people as much as possible. These are very social dogs and have never met a stranger. Conditioning them to be around other animals and humans means that they will be calmer and easier to handle. It will also make teaching them easier. Nothing is worse than an animal being out of control and hurting others or themselves. It takes the joy out of sharing them with your friends.
